Has it been 5 months already

Wow its been 5 months already.  The rate of loss has slowed, since last month I think I only lost 5 lbs.  But I have been  lighter than 253 during the course of the month.

Feeling way better though, will see how things turn out over the next week or two.  I am worried because there are a bunch of weight gaining holidays coming up.

Not bad time for running in nearly full cold weather gear.  Run 25:12:62

A week ago I was at the gates of 250, ready to crack it.

I did weigh in when I got home from work today I was 251.0  So maybe, just maybe tomorrow will be when I crack 250.

The Road Back

Thursday’s are normally a rest day, but I know I needed to get back into that groove I was in.

I went again to the gym today and did some chest workout with weights.  Before the weights I usually warm up with a run.  That run was tough.

But after the workout I did really feel better.  Recall the past few days I felt sick.  I hope tomorrow morning will be good so I can run.   But I will work out in the gym again.  This time with my buddy Stephanie.

Still feeling sick

I woke up today feeling weak.  I know I need to rest but I went to work anyway. 

Worse and  far more stupid, I went for an evening run to get in my workout for the day.  I was told by my coworkers to take it easy but I need to get that workout in even if it was just a mile.

Now I am paying the price, I am having my first asthma attac in a while.

Weight is weird

I don’t know why my weight is so high.  Could be bloat, but I did not eat a lot of stuff between now and last weigh in.

I did drink a lot of water.  Workout was the video again.  I went to the gym and realized I forgot my shorts.  So went home and did workout there.  There was a pretty bad storm out.

Anyway, pretty tired.  Will see after a couple days if this was temporary.  Maybe it was the 250 mark getting even.

Still sore from that workout video

Steph predicted that Sunday would be bad.  She was right.  I am so sore.  I could not run today.  I just did a 1 lap run w/ a 1 lap walk.

Tonight I will apply some tiger balm to see if I can get healed.  Tomorrow I am going to workout in the gym, but I think the flu is hitting our home, so my schedule will be in flux.

Got my butt kicked yesterday

Yesterday I tried something new for my second workout.  I still ran my 4+ in the morning, but in the afternoon I tried a workout video.

I expected it to be hard but expecting and experiencing are different animals.  I did get my butt kicked.  Today my muscles are all sore.  It is a good type of sore, because I worked out some muscles I don’t normally use.   I am going to get the title of the video and post it here but I want to get a copy of it myself.  It is from Jillian Michaels.

I started my 4+ today a little sore, but I had a decent time, 47:07.   I knew I had a chance to crack 250 today so I added another 2 mile walk.

When I got home, I weighed in with all my workout clothes and it came to 256.0.  Oh my, I knew it was going to be extremely close.  I think Tuesday I will buy another bag of rice for my desk.

I have a good feeling on this upcoming 5 month line.

Clothes are heavy

I ran a 4+ today, my time was good, 48:43, but not a record.  Still an incredible time because I hit 3 major stop lights and a kid stopped me for the time.  Also tied my shoe laces, but equipment failure is my fault.  Weather was cold, ground was wet but not too much of a factor.

During my run though, I really felt I could go faster but my legs would not move.  When I got back I weighed in unofficially with all my clothes.  I was about 257 to 258 lbs.  This weight is with shoes, socks, mp3 player, keys, windbreaker, shirt, sweat pants, underwear and a sweater.  I did not wear my normal shorts underneath, and my legs did feel cold.  The first thing I noticed as I was undressing after the run was how heavy the sweater was.  I knew it was going to be an interesting weigh in.

Still got a noon workout with my buddy Steph at work.  She is going to introduce me to something new, which is good since I have hit a wall.

Feeling slow today

Today is Thursday which is normally a rest day for me.  I did run 2 laps and feel good, but I don’t think I had the oomph I had the past 4 days.  My time was 25:48.38.  The next 2 days are big ones, where I try to crack my 250 nemesis.

Tomorrow I will do a 4+ before going to work and after work I will to a gym workout.

Friday I will do a 4+ again and hopefully I will break or at least reach 250.

So so close again.

I am so close to killing this 250 monster.  The next 3 days will interesting.  I will be focused.

That said, my weight after dinner was 3 lbs more. 

But I did what I went out to do and prove one can weigh in unfairly.
