So I haven’t been into the gym at work for a while. My buddies Nate and Oscar were asking me why and I began feeling guilty for not going. Life happens and the schedule I have affects my workout pattern. With my wife and younger kids gone for 2 and a half weeks, it gets tough.
I do continue to run outside, but as it gets dark and cold, it gets harder. Today, I ran 1 mile and walked 1, and for some strange reason, some kids in a car felt the need to heckle me while I was running.
But I do have hope for humanity. Yesterday my story with a link to this blog was posted on the corporate intranet site, I thought it was going to be placed in the public blog but I was surprised to see it on the front page. It is a good thing because I have seen a lot of responses, it is good. It inspires me profoundly and I hope it reciprocates and people find inspiration from me.
As for the heckling and the guilt, I don’t let it get me down. I use it to fuel my determination more.
Finally a note on the weight, I can feel oh so close to breaking 250. Recall in this old post

I mentioned that 250 was a bogeyman, some great wall that will be difficult to overcome.

Which had me down to my lowest point, 243 lbs, that was recorded since I moved to Washington. That was in March 2 of 2002. In 2002, I do recall cracking 240 briefly, but that was not recorded.
I recall this post three weeks into this blog.
